Campus Ministry & Student Life

Creating a Middle School Culture

The Middle School House System creates smaller communities within our school’s established House System to encourage friendships, promote school spirit, and develop student leadership. Through Student Life, middle school student leaders work with the Directors of Campus Ministry and Student Life to plan social events specifically designed for our middle school students, including school spirit days, dances, House competitions, and House games.

Through the Leadership Policy Entrepreneurship program, middle school students will have the opportunity to shape the programming related to Campus Ministry and Student Life as they authentically serve as co-creators of middle school culture.

To engage students in their interests and to provide after-school enrichment opportunities, we have a robust offering of clubs and organizations, especially for middle school students at Pope Prep. Additionally, we often develop new clubs and activities based on unique student interests.

Student Support Team

The Student Support Team (SST) includes staff from academics, athletics, admissions, counseling, student life, and campus ministry. The SST meets weekly to design and implement a support system for students. In addition to individual interventions, the team creates programming to holistically support students, from social-emotional programming to study skills resources through social media, assemblies, and class programming. Additionally, the team organizes groups and optional resources to help students achieve success in mind, body, character, and spirit. This student-centric team aims to bring together diverse perspectives to implement holistic student support equitably and compassionately quickly.
