The JPII Knights Football and Competition Cheerleaders had an exciting and eventful 2009-2010 season! Last Spring, we began by being asked to appear in the Taylor Swift video You Belong With Me. The girls, JPII students, and supporters were overjoyed to be a part of this fun-filled night! The summer took us to Panama City Beach for camp where our cheerleaders placed 1st in their Home Pom routine, 1st in their cheer, and 1st in their dance. During the fall, your Cheerleaders supported the football team, JPII, and our community by “decking the halls” with locker signs for each football game, organizing pep rallies, hosting the annual Cheerleading Barbeque to kick off the JPII football season, and hosting the Prime Tyme Cheer Festival. During the winter months, the girls competed at CheerNation, winning 3rd place, and they adopted a family from the Vine Clinic to purchase presents for during the Christmas season. The 2010-2011 season has already begun with the girls winning their first cheer competition at the CMA fest Prime Tyme cheer competition! We are looking forward to many more fun filled events in our upcoming season, and we will be strongly led by our 5 Seniors: Amber Darcey, Jordan Drennan (captain), Ashton Glenn (captain), Laura Hickam, and Katherine Roy. Go Knights!
Congratulations to Jordan Drennan! She was just named one of the top 10 cheerleaders in the state of Tennessee by the Tennessee Cheerleading Coaches Association. All of the top 10 cheerleaders will perform in Murfreesboro during the State Championship football game. During this game, TCCA will choose one of these top 10 cheerleaders to be the #1 Cheerleader in the state of Tennessee. Jordan is the first cheerleader from JPII to receive this honor. Congratulations Jordan!
